7月27日 UNITIMETABLING PEOPLE AT BALLARAT UNI REALLY REALLY SUCK
they screwed me round soooooo bad, and now I've already missed 4 classes (out of 9) due to timetabling issues.
which are now sorted, admittedly, but the foul aftertaste of rage lingers on.
and i have an 8:30 japanese class on wednesdays, which is not cool, as i have difficulty even speaking english in the mornings.

I read an article in The Age's Good Weekend today about evangelist Christian missionaries from America who are crazy.
If you can get hold of a copy then i recommend you do, its worth reading just so you can shake your head at the paper.
In case you cant get hold of it, then I'll give you the gist of the story:
Basically, its a story about American missionaries who take this seminar that teaches them how to convert people, particularly muslims, whose religion they claim is wrong and they must be taught the "true" ways of Christianity.
Now, being a missionary and a Christian is fine, I have nothing against that. However, when people prey on the unfortunate and tell them their religion is wrong or evil, thats what i have a problem with. How can a Christian believe that someone else's religion is wrong? They can't prove that God exists, anymore than they can prove that any other deity exists or doesnt exist.

At ten on Sunday morning
Met Brady, Dave and Jess
Then we went to Frank's
Jess wanted to stay with him
So he came with us
Dave did the driving
Brady was navigating

We went into the city
And there we met Dave

It was sad to say goodbye
I gave them a hug
Off to the bookshop
For in-flight entertainment
i bought me a book
Went to the station
Caught a train to the airport
Goodbye, mad Brady!
My flight was delayed
It was rather annoying

im hating the weather here again already, and i havent been home an hour yet.

7月8日 BRISBANE!Yes, im off to Brisbane tomorrow, for 6 days, and it will be truly mad.
I cant wait to meet Dave, Brady and Jess, and play pool, eat icecream, and generally go crazy.
Photos will be taken, and I will put them up here.
Try not to miss me tooooooo much (this is unlikely, as a reasonable percentage of people who i know read this, i'll be seeing anyways)
i will return on Friday, and be home at about 10:30-11pm (ish).
i will probably go straight to bed, because 6 days of madness is enough to exhaust even a crazy person like me.

We hates it!!! If it rains, it rains in a miserable drizzle, it isnt even nice rain, and certainly isnt enough to break the drought. Stupid drought. We spend winter in a state of almost perpetual overcast. Autumn and Spring don't exist here, we get 10 months of winter and a measly 2 of summer, if we're lucky. Stupid living in the highlands of Victoria. Which is precisely why (among other reasons) i am going to Brisbane in just over 4 days. I want to move up there, seriously. I dont want to live in Ballarat's miserable climate forever, because it sucks. I'd like to see some sunshine occasionally, even though I dislike being outside for overly long. Its nice to look out the window sometimes and see the sun shining, and to not have to have the heater on all the goddamn time. Stupid town. Stupid weather. brisbane ftw!
